LatinTX began as a backyard community meet-up in 2021, kickstarted by Elisa Sepulveda and Roman Gonzalez.

As long-time members of the Austin startup ecosystem, Elisa and Roman felt a distinct lack of representation, despite Latinos making up 40% of the Texas population. It was clear that the challenges faced by the Latinx community of founders and funders were not reflected in existing communities and events.

Born out of a desire for connection, support, and opportunities to uplift the Latinx community, LatinTX was born.

We are LatinTX: a nonprofit dedicated to uniting the Latinx founders of Texas.
